Requirements
- Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care
- Promote best practices and lead through change
- Identify and address performance opportunities
- Support novel program awareness and onboard new pharmacy team members
- Recognize colleagues for success
- Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful counseling, and abiding by legal/regulatory guidelines
- Demonstrate genuine care and act as a role model
- Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable)
- Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Partner with Store Manager for talent pipeline and cross-training
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts, including coaching and follow-up
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails
- Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and resolving issues
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
- Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on best practices and cold chain protection
- Conduct onboarding and training for new Technicians and Pharmacists on CVS workflow, ensuring timely completion
- Escalate compliance issues to Rx DL as needed
- Maintain cross-trained colleagues on track for licensure training
- Manage performance through observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
