Requirements
- Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
- Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care
- Promote best practices and lead through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities
- Support novel program awareness and onboard newly hired pharmacy team members

- Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
- Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable)
- Ensure pharmacy operations are fully compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Responsibilities
- Live the purpose by helping manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching the team, demonstrating compassionate care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving insurance/medication issues
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
- Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
- Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding for the store and district, including CVS workflow training, ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
- Escalate issues or concerns to the Rx DL for additional support as needed
- Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues for pharmacy work, ensuring timely training completion for licensure
- Manage performance of Staff Pharmacists and DPSs through direct observation, peer/team feedback, validation of results, delivering annual performance reviews, and closing gaps
