Requirements

3rd year Pharmacy Intern (enrolled in pharmacy school)
Ability to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time with district leaders
Compliance with state regulations (e.g., for taking telephonic prescriptions, calling prescribers, counseling patients)

Responsibilities

Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians in managing and improving patient health
Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments at pick-up, drive-thru, phone, register; offer immunizations and services; solve or escalate patient problems
Offer counseling, field medical questions, solicit patient medical history for optimal care, under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
Maintain self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team members, sharing best practices
Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories), as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership
Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt/safe/accurate prescription filling, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture in all interactions
