Requirements

  • Academic background: Business and/or Engineering
  • 2 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • 2 years of experience managing property, energy, and marine claims for commercial and personal lines
  • Focused, strategically skilled leader, results-based with an analytical focus
  • Technical, regulatory, and legal skills
  • Focus on operational processes, experience in continuous improvement, and NPS satisfaction levels
  • Experience in supervision, analysis, monitoring, and processing of catastrophe or contingent catastrophe coverage claims
  • Critical skills: attention to detail, analysis, organization, customer service, sense of urgency, teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Leadership
  • Claims review (to-do list)
  • Customer service to policyholders, agents, and executives (via email and phone)
  • Electronic equipment claims adjustment (preparation of adjustments, quoting similar equipment, requesting requirements, and collecting signatures for agreements)
  • Payment to the insured, payment to suppliers, entries in the SISE claims system
  • Reserve adjustments, filing in the regulatory electronic repository
  • Request and review of anti-money laundering requirements
  • Bank account registration (folio registration)
  • Preparation and distribution of rejection letters for inappropriate claims
  • Preparation of claim notifications to the UW team, interaction with the SIU
  • Recording recoveries in the claims system
  • Non-cash registration (recoveries made in favor of the insured)
  • Closing of reserves
  • Follow-up of claims assigned to independent adjusters (report review, reserve adjustments)
