About the Role:

Our People Operations Compliance Specialist will help build and maintain a strong foundation for global HR compliance. In this role, you’ll drive efforts to ensure we meet employment law requirements across multiple countries—supporting areas such as work authorization and I-9 compliance, unemployment claims, employee handbook development, and document management. You’ll lead regular audits of our HRIS data, partner on global compliance training and filings, and help manage key compliance vendors. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to put scalable systems and best practices in place as we grow.

Responsibilities:

Compliance Management:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance across key areas including wage and hour laws (e.g., FLSA classification), employment eligibility, and global labor requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 regulations including managing records, conducting audits, migrating/updating records in HRIS, and exploring HRIS automation solutions.
  • Oversee unemployment claims, including researching procedures, organizing data, and auditing offboarding notices.
  • Audit and implement internal controls that meet public company standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and support audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 by contributing HR-specific documentation, data integrity.
