Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • 2+ years experience with PCB layout and routing
  • Familiarity with Altium or similar design tools
  • Experience with IPC standards (Class 2/3, IPC-A-610, IPC-7351)

Responsibilities

  • Placement and Routing of high reliability Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs, with schematic and layout input from design engineers
  • Routing of power, high speed digital, RF, and analog PCB designs
  • Support librarian in creating and reviewing schematic symbols and footprints from datasheets and 3D models
  • Own design standards, templates, release procedures and interface to PLM system
  • Interface with PCB manufacturing team and external fabrication and assembly vendors to assess technical capabilities, design stackups and implement design for manufacturing (DFM)
