Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities of the key job (PCB Handler) in this family or vacate the current job classification
  • Recommended test results from HireVue Building Tech and Other Technician-Related Roles Virtual Job Tryout
  • Safe work habits and adherence to all safety rules and practices of the Company
  • Acceptable written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work productively and function effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to work overtime as required by job responsibilities
  • Physically capable of performing all the essential physical functions of the position (Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects)

Responsibilities

  • Help PCB Handler and Assistant with PCB waste items at the PCB Long Term storage facility in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, including inventory management and processing of waste
  • Help coordinate receipt of waste from other system facilities
  • Maintain supplies/Material/Equipment associated with facility management
  • Help with overseeing emergency response actions to control adverse environmental and public impact
  • Help coordinate facility waste disposal to minimize costs and maintain compliance
  • Help in the response to handle hazardous waste or oil spills in a timely manner
  • Communicate accurately and in a timely manner, information/facts/risks regarding environmental issues to employees and customers
  • Assist in the process of junk transformers and all oil filled electrical equipment for proper disposal and salvages sales
  • Help maintain environmental records, training records, spill reports, inspection reports, etc
  • Help with the operation of the oil reclaiming system for the equipment repair facility's own use
  • Help coordination efforts of contract labor employees to perform a variety of work including (but not limited to): process junk transformers, sampling of oil from electrical equipment, loading and unloading of trucks, manifesting and documenting all transactions related to electrical equipment and waste material
