Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of creating Illustrated Parts list
  • Experience with XML, SGML, Arbortext or similar publishing software, database management software and the documentation publishing industry
  • Ability to interface with Engineering and shop floor personnel for clarifications in the Engineering input documents
  • Ability to read schematics, electrical drawings, and bill of material
  • Ability to create Illustrated Parts list from multiple information sources like BOM, Engineering Drawing and existing Database
  • Knowledge of Industrial Turbine Machinery, including control, electrical and hydro-mechanical systems
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • PC Windows skills and familiarity with programs Adobe Acrobat, CREO, Windchill and the Microsoft suite of office software
  • Knowledge of commercial publication specifications
  • Strong technical knowledge in a specific turbomachinery application such as Compressors, Generators, or mechanical drives
  • Communicates effectively with global partners and coordinates with team members within the group
  • Recognize opportunities for process improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to other team members
  • Desirable: BE Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
  • Desirable: Ability to read/understand Process and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) and Electrical Loops and Schematics (ELS)
  • Desirable: Maximum 3 years of experience in Power generation or wind turbines or O&G or Aerospace or Automobile industry
  • Desirable: Wide exposure to integrate with related fields of procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, service parts
  • Good communication, organizational, teaming, mentoring and analytical skills
  • Basic Understanding of Customer Focus (focuses on customer relationships, differences in organizational focus, cost/benefits of customer service, importance to product/service delivery)
  • Basic Understanding of Data Gathering & Analysis (describes alternative data-gathering tools/techniques)

Responsibilities

  • Performs the function of Illustrated Parts lister on projects
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of engineering drawings, service bulletins, schematics and modifications to interpret data for inclusion in the IPL
  • Create sales order specific Illustrated Parts list volume for both New Production and Retrofit Customers
  • Produces volume using established database material and by creating new material combined from multiple information sources
  • Development and maintenance of the database that supports this volume and ensure database materials comply with applicable standards
  • Creation/modification of illustrations based on Iso Draw
