Requirements

  • Coursework or certification or 2 years industrial maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, relating technical issues to business leadership
  • Willingness to perform shift work and work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • (Preferred) Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, pallet jacks, lifts, and more

Responsibilities

  • Follow set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety and safety of DC associates
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures
  • Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe working environment with the Maintenance department
  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) to minimize downtime of equipment
  • Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment
  • Ensure workmanship is of highest quality
  • Assist with emergency repairs and troubleshoot conveyors, machinery, and electrical/controls systems in the Distribution Center
