Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 1 year of Retail, Sales or Customer Service experience
  • At least 6 months of cash handling experience
  • Friendly, engaging, and able to connect with customers (people person)
  • Ability to reduce customer financial anxiety by determining personal and business financial needs
  • Knowledge of compliance, audit, and security policies and procedures in accordance with Bank policy and Federal regulations
  • Adaptable with a growth mindset and customer experience-obsessed
  • Naturally curious and eager to learn products, services, and experiences
  • Digitally savvy, able to showcase mobile/online banking and educate customers using branch technology
  • Team player able to work with and inspire teammates
  • Ability to research and answer customer inquiries using tools and channels to recommend solutions and enhance retention/engagement
  • Willingness to travel between branches in assigned local Suffolk areas

Responsibilities

  • Perform transactions including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals
  • Monitor fraud mitigation and adhere to operational policies and procedures
  • Resolve customer inquiries quickly and efficiently to deliver extraordinary customer experience
  • Support customers in all branch areas, including cash handling and service needs, rotating based on customer needs
  • Help customers with technology challenges, casual conversations, and showcasing services/products
  • Pull in experts to guide customers toward financial goals
  • Educate customers on banking channels, products, and services
  • Improve overall retail customer experience with fewer handoffs by being "the expert" in all areas
