At least 2 years in a paralegal role or 3 years of industry related copyright registration experience
Bachelor’s Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and/or any applicable state codes
Detail-oriented, with excellent verbal, analytical, and listening skills
Ability to independently manage one's workload, with discernment on when to seek assistance as necessary
Capacity to hold oneself and others accountable for results
Experience in reviewing agreements and confirming chain of title
Proficiency in multitasking within a demanding, fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Conceptual thinker exhibiting excellent judgment
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
Ability to take direction and propose relevant solutions as needed
Competence in handling highly sensitive and confidential materials
Quick learner with a strong emphasis on client service
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other office-related software
Responsibilities
File copyright registrations and recordations with the US Copyright Office
Review production agreements, schedules, databases, and other reference materials to confirm the chain of title and information required for copyright
Secure and review physical and digital content for copyright registration purposes
Communicate directly with creative, legal, and business segments involved with developing and producing content
Perform research, prepare reports, investigate, and resolve registration inquiries
Populate and manage copyright data, images, and information in the Copyright Administration databases
