Requirements

  • High School Education or GED preferred
  • A minimum of one-year warehouse experience preferred
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to read batch labels
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Must be team oriented and able to get along with others

Responsibilities

  • Wrap all outbound orders in designated loading zones in compliance with company procedures and standards
  • Ensure all pallets are built according to preferred methods and wrapped from bottom to top to avoid damage during transport
  • Notify supervisor of any issues
  • Confirm condition of product prior to loading, including cases and breakers
  • Ensure work is completed in a productive and timely manner
  • Keep pallets in work area wrapped according to dispatch times and on pace to avoid hindering loader productivity
  • Verify header labels are in upper right hand corner for loaders
  • Gather slip sheets and secure near wrapping stations for use during wrapping and inspection
  • Ensure work area is free of debris at all times
  • Help loaders by unloading trailers staged in doors containing pallets, blankets, straps, and debris; raise door, lock trailer to dock, and lower dock plate
  • Determine when produce blankets are no longer usable and alert Lead or Supervisor; dispose of soiled cooler blankets
  • Ensure Robo wrappers are clean and in good operational condition
  • Do not allow excess shrink wrap to build up around guide wheel; do not cut shrink wrap from rollers using a box cutter
  • Do not place stickers on any part of the equipment
  • Wipe down equipment at end of shift
  • Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area
  • Work in extreme temperatures of 100+ degrees and below freezing
