Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in a science or engineering field or related technical discipline
  • 2 years of relevant industry experience with a BS/BA, or no relevant experience with an MS in a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of typical computer applications
  • Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Responsibilities

  • Apply basic knowledge of manufacturing and packaging systems, methods, procedures, and regulatory affairs
  • Work on routine to basic scope problems with guidance, requiring evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Exercise judgment within well-defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques for solutions
  • Provide engineering knowledge in planning, organization, and implementation of projects within specified objectives
  • Contribute to drafting communications, procedures, and protocols as writing skills develop
  • Interface with contract manufacturers to address standard documentation and compliance issues
  • Support and revise specifications; resolve technical issues with material suppliers
  • Collaborate with vendors to develop alternate designs for packaging components and translate into actionable specifications
  • Travel to contract packaging sites to oversee qualification activities as needed
