Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Flexibility to work various overnight shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Minimal knowledge of contemporary substance abuse treatment practices in a residential setting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity under pressure generated through association with substance abuse students
  • RADT certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervises students during quiet and sleeping hours and constantly remains awake and alert
  • Makes bed checks and documents at the scheduled time as required
  • Assumes supervision responsibilities in the absence of faculty
  • Contacts designated faculty as directed and notifies them of problems and/or incidents
  • Completes required forms for faculty intention meetings
  • Serves as advisor and positive role model for assigned students
  • Prevents, intervenes, reports student altercations and incidents
  • Administers First Aid and CPR during emergencies in accordance with the American Red Cross
  • Conducts and practices emergency evacuation procedures
  • Assists in maintaining facility grounds and keeping equipment in proper working condition
  • Responsible for Critical Incidents and Incident reporting when occurs during scheduled shift
  • Up-loading clinical supportive documentation (i.e.: motivation logs, intentions forms)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
