Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required
Must successfully complete required training and certification processes
Ability to stand and move continuously on hard surfaces
Ability to frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop to examine/scan merchandise
Ability to frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds; lift and move heavy/awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance
Responsibilities
Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner; inspects forklifts prior to use and follows safety standards
Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to/from delivery trucks; inspects and prepares trucks for unloading
Accurately receives all merchandise and materials delivered to the club
Lifts, reserves, and drops pallets of merchandise to/from overhead steel and sales floor; prepares pallets by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets
Transports merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club; utilizes pallet jack as needed
Stocks, rotates, and stores general and food merchandise; ensures merchandise is fully stocked
Handles damaged and spoiled merchandise per company policies
Ensures club is neat, clean, and organized; performs general maintenance like removing trash and cardboard
Participates in daily club openings and closings; returns merchandise to sales floor
Greets Members, provides prompt and courteous service, assists in locating merchandise
Maintains all club policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned and works in other departments as needed
