Requirements

At least 1 year of RN Dialysis experience
RN active license
Ability to perform physical demands including heavy lifting, moving patients, assisting with ambulation, frequent prolonged standing, bending over, and lifting/moving equipment up to 200 lbs. or solutions up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-during-post hemodialysis treatment, document in medical record, adjust treatment plans, and notify supervisors/physicians as needed
Assess, collaborate, and document patient/family learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education
Direct and provide, in collaboration with staff, safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients
Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms, documenting justification and effectiveness
Initiate or assist with emergency response measures
Serve as resource, leader, coach, mentor, and role model for employees
Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, shipping, and reschedule missed collections
Identify expected outcomes, document, and update nursing assessment and plan of care in collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team
Ensure patient awareness of transplant and treatment modality options
Participate in education and quality improvement projects
Serve as Preceptor to new employees
Complete CAP requirements to maintain or advance
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
