The role involves provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients, data collection and analysis of dialysis data, patient education, medication administration, and leadership functions.
The RN works as a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, collaborating with Supervisors, Educators, Preceptors, other RNs, LVN/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, and the Interdisciplinary Team, and may delegate tasks to direct patient care staff.
Strong candidates are new employees meeting RN CAP 2 criteria or those advancing from RN CAP 1, with ability to perform assessment, patient education, dialysis therapy delivery, leadership, and collaboration in a clinical advancement program.
