Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure
Adherence to FMCNA's mission, vision, core values, customer service philosophy, Compliance Program, regulatory requirements, and division/company policies
Ability to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team under direct supervision of a registered nurse
Skills in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy, implementing and evaluating patient care
Capability to report and document new or unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems
Ability to promote and assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Passion, dedication, knowledge, motivation, and experience

Responsibilities

Drive FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards, providing outstanding service to external and internal customers
Develop and maintain effective relationships through timely communication; take initiative to respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues
Provide direct patient care for assigned patients
Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed
Administer and monitor treatments in accordance with the current treatment plan or supervisor directions
Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets
Document other patient care information in the individual patient record
Report any significant information, changes in patient condition, or equipment problems to the supervisor
Assist in developing and following the teaching plan to educate patients and families on end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications
Assist with all emergencies
