Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum (preferred for top candidates)
Extensive engineering experience, in roles of increasing responsibility
Electronics systems, hardware, or software development experience
Experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
Supervisory and global team leadership experience
Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills
Program Management: Knowledge of policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects to achieve objectives
Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques; ability to create and support an environment that meets quality goals
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas accurately
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems; ability to apply to diverse situations
Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services; ability to apply knowledge appropriately
Ability to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office

Responsibilities

Provide NPI leadership to the Information Platform teams
Manage program timelines, budget, and quality for Information Product Platforms
Provide people leadership for a team of 4 Caterpillar team members
Provide technical leadership for a team of about 20 Caterpillar and Agency software developers
Responsible for Information Platform Gateway Reviews & Design Reviews
Develop & communicate Information Platform timelines
Accountable for developing and managing Information Platform Life Time Estimates
Meet Information Platform Quality Commitments
Collaborate with and communicate results to the Machine & Engine Systems teams
Work with members of the Senior Technology Leadership Forum (STLF) to prioritize information related projects
Work with Chief Engineers, Tech Stewards, NPI Managers, Clients, and Process Partners to develop roadmaps and strategies for Information Platforms
Interact regularly with system, hardware, and software teams and managers to collaborate on delivery
