Candidates should have a strong background in application security or penetration testing, with hands-on experience in web application security. Proficiency in tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, and similar is required. An attacker mindset and a passion for identifying novel abuse vectors in live environments are essential, along with demonstrated success in working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
The Novel Abuse Testing Specialist will design and execute high-fidelity attack simulations to uncover hidden exploitation vectors. They will analyze testing outcomes to refine detection mechanisms and serve as a technical bridge between security, product, and policy teams. The role involves developing automation tools to streamline testing workflows, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align testing strategies, and helping to build a bug bounty program for AI safety and novel abuse.
