Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Background in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in narrative storytelling and content creation
  • Writing examples which demonstrate an experienced command of style and tone, and an impeccable eye for detail
  • 0 - 2 years of work experience
  • Resume submission (PDF strongly preferred)
  • A love of writing, athletes, sports and culture
  • An awareness of emerging trends in sports, design, culture, media and technology
  • A passion for the rhythm of writing and the ability to apply an insight, strategy or truth into highly engaging consumer-facing content
  • An understanding of how stories come to life across OOH, digital, and social, with a solid understanding of content platforms
  • A proven ability to flex and adapt to changing needs while maintaining a positive, collaborative outlook in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
  • Available for in-person work at the NIKE, Inc. World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Narrative Experts to seek out an insight or truth, develop messaging and bring that to life across an array of platforms
  • Work in a hands-on and highly collaborative manner with other writers, art directors, designers and producers to create a suite of stories
  • Contribute to high-priority, real business initiatives that align with the NIKE, Inc. strategic roadmap
  • Take ownership of a project scoped to drive impact, with guidance from senior leaders and experienced managers
  • Partner with other creatives on the end-to-end creative development of sport- and athlete-centered stories from concepting and ideation to execution
  • Bring writing acumen and creative prowess to the creation of seasonal themes woven into an array of stories across various placements
  • Integrate athlete and product insights into narratives which convey Nike distinction through the rhythm of language
  • Collaborate and try new things in partnership with in-house and agency creatives, including strategists, art directors, designers and producers
