Responsibilities

Help manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Take direction from Pharmacy Manager and oversee pharmacy during bench shifts without overlap
Strengthen pharmacy performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback to Pharmacy Manager
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflows and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, resolving issues, and coaching team on compassionate care
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, focusing on cold chain products
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
Partner with Pharmacy Manager on scheduling if directed
Maintain relevant skills through trainings and CMEs
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception)
