Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph
  • Must have at least five (5) years of direct, hands-on experience providing assistance to users in an IT customer service capacity
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience working on an IT/software program that utilizes complex equipment/systems (e.g., Network Switches, Routers, LANs & cabling, Windows/Linux operating systems, VMware, etc.)
  • Must have experience installing, updating, and upgrading Linux Operating Systems (OS)
  • Must have experience with utilities used to manage Linux OS disk file systems
  • Must have experience analyzing and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements in Linux OS
  • Must have experience with utilities used to create and configure network connections in Linux OS
  • Must have experience implementing Windows Active Directory User Authentication in Linux OS
  • Must be proficient in reading and modifying User/Group permissions in Linux OS
  • Must be proficient in reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting errors within Linux OS
  • Must have experience with IT system optimization, monitoring, and technical set-up and troubleshooting
  • Must have experience with Data Center design and configuration (e.g., rack and stack, power, placement, etc.)
  • Must have experience gathering data for and documenting technical processes
  • Must have experience documenting IT issues and providing detailed and comprehensive status reports and follow-ups
  • Must have experience analyzing and addressing IAVAs/CVEs (response and remediation, system security scans, extending IAVA patches and security updates on IT and network systems, etc.)
  • Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices including compliance with maintenance windows and change control procedures
  • Must possess strong analytic abilities and must be meticulous and careful in their work
  • Must be an independent thinker capable of working independently as well as within a team
  • Must be able to respond to emergency system administration, operations, and maintenance problems, on a limited as-needed on-call basis
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time to local program locations (not overnight). Additional travel to CONUS and OCONUS location(s) may also be required (overnight)

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to users in an IT customer service capacity
  • Work on IT/software programs utilizing complex equipment/systems (e.g., Network Switches, Routers, LANs & cabling, Windows/Linux OS, VMware)
  • Install, update, and upgrade Linux Operating Systems
  • Manage Linux OS disk file systems using utilities
