Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or related field (equivalent work experience accepted)
  • Four years of related work experience in cybersecurity
  • At least four years of experience in zero-trust security framework, user identity and device management, architecture
  • Strong organization skills, leading sophisticated projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of firewalls, F5s, VPNs, and cloud technologies
  • Ability to monitor web security gateways, perimeter security, network access controls, and endpoint security
  • Knowledge of maintaining & implementing SOPs for Network Security
  • Knowledge of various packet analyzers to perform packet captures
  • Certifications encouraged (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or related)

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and engages with the SOC on security incidents related to network security events
  • Oversees management of security posture for network security platforms such as firewalls, web content filtering, etc
  • Maintains enterprise firewall policy rule base and supports the business during technical troubleshooting and support efforts
  • Works closely with vendors to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities
  • Resolves security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
  • Ensures documentation and processes are well defined so that engineered solutions are understood and repeatable
  • Maintains, updates, configures, monitors firewalls, virtual private networks, content filtering, intrusion detection, log management, and security policies
  • Identifies and implements IT industry standards to improve the organization's security posture
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
  • Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
