Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or related field (equivalent work experience accepted)
Four years of related work experience in cybersecurity
At least two years of experience in zero-trust security framework, user identity and device management, architecture
Strong organization skills, leading sophisticated projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of firewalls, F5s, VPNs, and cloud technologies
Knowledge of monitoring web security gateways, perimeter security, network access controls, and endpoint security
Knowledge of maintaining & implementing SOPs for Network Security
Knowledge of various packet analyzers to perform packet captures
Certifications encouraged (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or related)

Responsibilities

Communicates and engages with the SOC on security incidents related to network security events
Oversees management of security posture for network security platforms such as firewalls, web content filtering, etc
Maintains enterprise firewall policy rule base and supports the business during technical troubleshooting and support efforts
Documents organizational change requests to support planned maintenance events
Works closely with vendors to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities
Resolves security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
Ensures documentation and processes are well defined so that engineered solutions are understood and repeatable
Maintains, updates, configures, monitors firewalls, virtual private networks, content filtering, intrusion detection, log management, and security policies
Identifies and implements IT industry standards to improve the organization's security posture
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
