Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of GM's enterprise network, including WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and data center networks, ensuring optimal uptime and performance
  • Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure projects, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure security, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Conduct performance management for team members, including goal setting, regular feedback, and professional development planning
  • Identify and resolve complex network issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures
  • Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for network-related services and equipment
  • Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and industry trends, recommending strategic enhancements to the network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure seamless integration of network services with applications and systems
