Responsibilities

  • Engineering, design, testing, and oversight of extensive Fiber Optic Network installations, including FTTP and FTTH expansions
  • Managing equipment upgrades, including software releases and new technologies
  • Overseeing local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
  • Providing oversight of the Central Office and Network Operations Team
  • Creating, executing, and managing project plans
  • Planning and implementing improvements, modifications, or replacements of network infrastructure components
  • Troubleshooting network performance issues
  • Creating and maintaining a disaster recovery plan
  • Monitoring and adjusting the performance of existing networks and surveying current computer sites for future network needs
  • Ensuring service delivery systems are well documented, including network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, troubleshooting, and maintenance processes
  • Conducting network capacity assessments and growth planning
  • Interacting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services
