Responsibilities

Engineering, design, testing, and oversight of extensive Fiber Optic Network installations, including FTTP and FTTH expansions
Managing equipment upgrades, including software releases and new technologies
Overseeing local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
Providing oversight of the Central Office and Network Operations Team
Creating, executing, and managing project plans
Planning and implementing improvements, modifications, or replacements of network infrastructure components
Troubleshooting network performance issues
Creating and maintaining a disaster recovery plan
Monitoring and adjusting the performance of existing networks and surveying current computer sites for future network needs
Ensuring service delivery systems are well documented, including network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, troubleshooting, and maintenance processes
Conducting network capacity assessments and growth planning
Interacting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services
