Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant network engineering experience. They must have at least five (5) years of experience designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure enterprise network infrastructure, along with demonstrated experience supporting Cisco networking hardware, encrypted networks, and cross-domain solutions. Proficiency with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and VPNs is required, as well as hands-on experience with Inline Network Encryptors (INE), Cisco IOS, and ForcePoint cross-domain technologies. Familiarity with network security tools like Tenable and Splunk, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is also necessary. An active Top Secret clearance is required, with the selected candidate needing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Cisco network devices, encryption gear, and virtual networks, while also monitoring network performance, availability, and incident response. They will provide support for PKI integration, cross-domain solutions and secure VOIP/VTC, perform routine site check-ins, maintain site POC lists, and document network architecture. Additionally, the Network Engineer will support both physical and virtual networks, including VMware integration, and contribute to network security efforts.
