Requirements

  • Top Secret security clearance, poly eligible
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
  • 8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) such as CompTIA Security+
  • 9 years of hands-on experience and expertise in Cisco Network Administration or Network Engineering
  • 2 years of hands-on experience supporting CentOS/RHEL Linux Systems
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Firewalls
  • Understanding of network protocols and Firewall packet and proxy filters
  • Experience leading classified network architecture, design, and documentation
  • Experience with virtual systems, Rubric, and/or VX-Rail
  • Strong teamwork, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills
  • Strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments

Responsibilities

  • Perform network design, engineering, and troubleshooting support for classified programs
  • Support LANs/WANs/Site-to-site, VPNs/Point-to-point/point to multipoint
  • Maintain network availability for servers, storage, and backup systems
  • Troubleshoot port security issues, VLAN issues, and network outages
  • Control network management activities, data flows, and firewall rules
  • Build network topologies to deliver content from specific providers to users
  • Design, implement, or maintain networks for LAN and WAN systems
  • Provide engineering designs and plans for installation, integration, testing, upgrade, analysis, and maintenance/expansion of the network environment
  • Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and design documents in support of network upgrades and new mission requirements
  • Part of a team requiring work schedule flexibility for on-site coverage of 5 day x 12 hours/day operations
