Requirements

Expertise in engineering, design, testing, and oversight of Fiber Optic Network installations, including FTTP and FTTH
Experience with equipment upgrades, software releases, and new technologies
Knowledge of local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
Ability to create, execute, and manage project plans
Skills in planning and implementing improvements, modifications, or replacements of network infrastructure components
Proficiency in troubleshooting network performance issues
Capability to create and maintain disaster recovery plans
Experience in monitoring and adjusting network performance, and surveying sites for future needs
Ability to ensure documentation of service delivery systems, including network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, and troubleshooting/maintenance processes
Skills in network capacity assessment and growth planning
Experience interacting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors

Responsibilities

Oversight of Central Office and Network Operations Team
Engineering, design, testing, and oversight of extensive Fiber Optic Network installations and expansions (FTTP/FTTH)
Managing equipment upgrades, including software releases and new technologies
Planning and implementing network infrastructure improvements, modifications, or replacements
Troubleshooting network performance issues
Creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans
Monitoring and adjusting performance of existing networks
Surveying current computer sites to determine future network needs
Ensuring well-documented service delivery systems (network diagrams, inventories, processes)
Conducting network capacity assessments and growth planning
Interacting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for network products and services
