Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of applicable work experience in the areas of buying, demand management, forecasting, inventory management, or product information management OR High School diploma or GED equivalent and 6+ years of relevant work experience in the areas of buying, demand management, forecasting, inventory management, or product information management OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced level proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Provides supply chain support for key multi-unit accounts
  • Review inventory watch lists to ensure forecast accuracy and high service level
  • Work with suppliers and buyers to expedite critical materials
  • Meet with sales as needed to support transitions, watch list maintenance, special projects, and supplier issues
  • Manage stocking status for spec materials
  • Act as liaison between Merchandising and Supply Chain on transitions and promotions
  • Collect information regarding Merchandising projects
  • Run and analyze required data to develop an implementation plan
  • Execute, monitor and adjust the plan as necessary
  • Analyze Line Item Diverts and Central Stocking Strategies
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for changes
  • Update material replacements, alternates, complements, and customer material restrictions
  • Ensure that Master Data Settings (MRP) are correct in SAP
  • Perform source changes as requested
  • Keep Manager informed of issues within area of assigned responsibility
  • Escalate issues beyond scope of authority to appropriate parties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
