Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience
  • 7+ years of experience building large-scale distributed web platforms/APIs
  • 5+ years as an architect or technical lead responsible for end-to-end product scope across multiple domains
  • Proven ability to create, drive, and execute a technical strategy and roadmap, making balanced trade-offs
  • Experience aligning stakeholders and engineering teams using clear documentation like Architectural Decision Records (ADRs)
  • Passion for improving team velocity and code quality, with experience driving adoption of technical best practices
  • Deep end-to-end system design knowledge, including front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), backend services (GraphQL/REST APIs), messaging systems, databases (RDBMS/NoSQL), and containerized infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL (highly preferred)
  • Track record of independently leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams from concept to launch

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy complex, distributed systems handling over a billion requests daily
  • Collaborate with experts to devise innovative strategies and solutions for complex problems
  • Craft architectural blueprints for new and existing systems, driving architecture discussions, analyzing codebases, and making critical decisions for scalability and maintainability
  • Take full ownership of the software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and maintenance in a fast-paced CI/CD environment
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
  • Engage with product managers and key partners to transform business requirements into robust technical solutions
