Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years PLC & HMI knowledge for programming & debugging
  • Troubleshooting Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic control circuits
  • Demonstrated ability to read/understand/make mechanical and electrical diagrams and drawings
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in UG NX, or other CAD software (Solid Works, Pro-E, etc.)
  • Must be willing and able to travel in Mexico or US (as needed to support)
  • English Technical/Conversation is necessary
  • Work with multiple departments to release manufacturing cells
  • Develop and maintain project timelines for internal and customer usage

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts of integration robot with gripper and molding machine
  • Participate in early product development with molding tool engineer
  • Design and build robust solutions (integration gripper with molding tool) for manufacturing complying with Aptiv’s and Customer specific Tool Std’s
  • Participate in product and tool design reviews, DFM, estimating process, ADP projects and Global Tool Standard activities
  • Meet key dates, maintain through put and quality targets
  • Perform plans with focus and energy toward exceeding expectations and ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
  • Manage and update mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Develop PLC & HMI integration programs (gripper, molding machine, robot)
  • Support plant with control programing and robot on mold production areas
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing areas with legacy equipment
  • Support manufacturing areas with Control programming for Vacuum/Communication/New equipment adaptation
