Requirements

  • Expertise in merchandise planning, including developing, executing, and improving action plans
  • Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to support business and customer needs
  • Proficiency in building OMNI financial plans, preparing/revising/executing category budgets, seasonal buy plans, and line review financials
  • Skills in determining item/program quantities and conducting analyses to identify business drivers
  • Capability to present financial recommendations
  • Experience supporting OMNI profit and loss (P&L) through financial forecasts, analyses, reports, and reviews of new items/merchandise lines
  • Knowledge of how key inputs influence inventory, margin forecasts, decision-making, and month-end recaps
  • Ability to develop financial strategies and key event plans, including modeling/analyzing impacts of variables on category performance
  • Competence in preparing/reporting category strategy templates and ensuring assortment mix aligns with financial goals
  • Leadership skills: Demonstrates respect for individuals, builds relationships, communicates effectively, acts with integrity, serves customers with an omni-merchant mindset, and strives for excellence through curiosity, growth mindset, and innovation

Responsibilities

  • Achieve OMNI sales and profit targets for merchandise categories by collaborating with cross-functional partners
  • Perform financial planning, pre-season and in-season management, monthly forecasts, exit strategies, and business analysis
  • Build OMNI financial plans for merchandise categories in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Prepare, revise, and execute category budgets, seasonal buy plans, and line review financials
  • Determine item/program quantities and conduct analyses to identify business drivers
  • Present financial recommendations
  • Support OMNI P&L for category teams by providing financial forecasts, analyses, reports, and insights on new items/merchandise lines
  • Provide insights on key inputs for inventory/margin forecasts, decision-making, and month-end recaps
  • Develop financial strategies and key event plans, attend supplier meetings, model/analyze variable impacts, prepare category strategy templates, and align assortment mix with financial goals
  • Lead OMNI meetings, maintain markdown budgets, and collaborate with Merchants on planning and forecasts
