Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP; AWS preferred)
3+ years of experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Strong experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters
Mastery of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Argo CD, etc
Deep understanding of network architectures, software engineering, web technologies, SQL databases, and distributed systems
Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Go, as well as bash, etc
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus
Strong communication, analytical, and technical leadership skills
Nice to have: Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to have: SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance and audit experience
Nice to have: Experience working with security engineering and vulnerability management

Responsibilities

Architect cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our business, including working with application teams in designing and deploying services in the cloud
Manage and maintain our Kubernetes infrastructure, including optimizing cluster resource usage, cluster monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes issues
Manage and maintain our AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including provisioning and managing AWS resources, automating changes, and monitoring AWS infrastructure performance
Collaborate with other engineers to develop and implement Kubernetes best practices, including developing tools and frameworks for managing our apps on Kubernetes
Respond to incidents as part of a weekly on-call rotation, including resolving incidents, communicating with stakeholders, and conducting effective post-mortem resolutions
Be a team player and contribute to a positive work environment, working cross-functionally to take on new challenges and leave things better than found
