Responsibilities

  • Deliver medical care for injuries or illnesses occurring on the job
  • Work closely with management to implement effective disaster preparedness and emergency response plans
  • Provide advice regarding employee health and safety issues, hazard recognition, and risk assessment
  • Conduct audits and investigations related to health and safety matters
  • Analyze data and provide reports on medical program delivery, productivity, absenteeism, and present findings to leadership
  • Participate in the design and implementation of health and safety training programs
  • Support the development of guidelines and procedures relating to medical aspects of emergencies and major accidents
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of an occupational health unit
  • Supervise staff and ensure all operations adhere to relevant regulations and codes of conduct
