Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific and medical leadership to build professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC)
  • Ensure strong medical and scientific presence in key academic centers through facilitation of research and educational initiatives
  • Support requests for medical and scientific information on ADC products or therapeutic areas of interest
  • Engage in scientific exchange, professional development, research collaboration, and medical/scientific dialogue with key thought leaders, healthcare providers, and organizations
  • Serve as point of contact for thought leaders and external experts in assigned geographic area (Southeast Region) to address their scientific knowledge needs
  • Provide medical/scientific affairs support to the US commercial team and interface regularly with commercial team members
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with in-field members while maintaining functional independence
