Responsibilities

Serve as the medical/scientific voice of expertise for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products and therapeutic areas
Provide medical/scientific expert advice, guidance, scientific exchange, and professional development to key thought leaders and external experts
Support scientific credibility through dialogue, collaboration in research, scientific publications, and medical/scientific exchange, including unsolicited medical information requests
Interface regularly with US commercial team members to provide medical/scientific affairs support
Provide scientific and medical leadership to build and maintain professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to ADC
Ensure strong medical/scientific presence in key academic centers by facilitating research and educational initiatives
Support requests for medical and scientific information on products or therapeutic areas of interest to ADC
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with in-field members while retaining functional independence
Act as point of contact for thought leaders and external experts in an assigned geographic area to meet their scientific knowledge needs
