Responsibilities

  • Serve as the medical/scientific voice of expertise for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products and therapeutic areas
  • Provide medical/scientific expert advice, guidance, scientific exchange, and professional development to key thought leaders and external experts
  • Support scientific credibility through dialogue, collaboration in research, scientific publications, and medical/scientific exchange, including unsolicited medical information requests
  • Interface regularly with US commercial team members to provide medical/scientific affairs support
  • Provide scientific and medical leadership to build and maintain professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to ADC
  • Ensure strong medical/scientific presence in key academic centers by facilitating research and educational initiatives
  • Support requests for medical and scientific information on products or therapeutic areas of interest to ADC
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with in-field members while retaining functional independence
  • Act as point of contact for thought leaders and external experts in an assigned geographic area to meet their scientific knowledge needs
