Team/Department Description

The Medical Affairs team at Azurity Pharmaceuticals drives scientific and clinical initiatives for a portfolio of over 30 brands across 10 dosage forms and 9 therapeutic areas, serving patients in over 50 countries. The Radiology MSL will report to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs.

Principle Responsibilities

  • KOL and HCP Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), medical thought leaders, and healthcare providers (HCPs) in radiology.
    • Conduct scientific exchanges to support Azurity’s product development and scientific platforms in the US.
  • Medical Education and Presentations:
    • Deliver product- and disease-related medical education, including pharmacoeconomic analyses.
    • Present to internal teams, radiologists, HCPs, managed care organizations, payers, and medical societies in various settings (hospitals, academic institutions, medical congresses).
  • Scientific Support:
    • Serve as the primary contact for medical and scientific inquiries regarding Azurity’s radiology products and disease states.
    • Respond to inquiries from radiologists, HCPs, payers, formulary decision-makers, advocacy groups, and internal stakeholders.
  • Research Collaboration:
    • Support company-sponsored trials and clinical trial site recruitment.
    • Review and support unsolicited Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) proposals.
    • Collaborate with KOLs and investigators on research opportunities and maintain engagement through trial completion and data publication.
  • Medical and Commercial Support:
    • Assist with medical communications, grant proposals, and health economics research.
    • Support speaker training, Advisory Boards, and sales training on disease state awareness, product information, and the competitive landscape in radiology.
  • Expertise Maintenance:
    • Stay current on disease states, clinical information, product data, and competitive landscapes within the imaging therapeutic area.
  • Competitive Intelligence:
    • Attend radiology-focused medical meetings (e.g., RSNA, ARRS) to gather and share scientific and competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education:
    • Doctoral-level qualification (PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred.
    • Strong background in radiology, medical imaging, or related fields is essential.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred.
    • At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
    • Experience in radiology or imaging-related therapeutic areas is highly desirable.
