Requirements
- Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
- A valid medical license and Board certification in Hematology or Hematopathology
- 5+ years of clinical experience as a Hematologist, Hematopathologist or related specialty
- Hands-on experience with hematology analyzer or strong familiarity with their use in lab settings
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for working with internal teams, investigators, and external stakeholders
- Ability to present complex medical information clearly to both scientific and non-scientific audiences
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the medical strategy for Hematology systems, ensuring alignment with global business goals
- Oversee clinical research initiatives, including investigator-sponsored studies, collaborative research, and evidence generation
- Serve as the primary medical liaison for internal stakeholders and external partners, including the medical community, policymakers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and regulatory bodies
- Provide medical input into product development, lifecycle management, and regulatory submissions
- Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to align research projects with business strategy
- Support commercial teams with scientific content, training, and customer engagement strategies
- Represent Abbott at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and industry forums
- Ensure compliance with global medical governance and ethical standards
