Requirements

  • Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
  • A valid medical license and Board certification in Hematology or Hematopathology
  • 5+ years of clinical experience as a Hematologist, Hematopathologist or related specialty
  • Hands-on experience with hematology analyzer or strong familiarity with their use in lab settings
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for working with internal teams, investigators, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to present complex medical information clearly to both scientific and non-scientific audiences

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the medical strategy for Hematology systems, ensuring alignment with global business goals
  • Oversee clinical research initiatives, including investigator-sponsored studies, collaborative research, and evidence generation
  • Serve as the primary medical liaison for internal stakeholders and external partners, including the medical community, policymakers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and regulatory bodies
  • Provide medical input into product development, lifecycle management, and regulatory submissions
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to align research projects with business strategy
  • Support commercial teams with scientific content, training, and customer engagement strategies
  • Represent Abbott at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and industry forums
  • Ensure compliance with global medical governance and ethical standards
