Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from a U.S. medical school, have successfully completed residency at an accredited healthcare institution, possess experience in management and leading teams, and demonstrate working knowledge of community clinic/health center operations. A current active California medical license, DEA license, and malpractice coverage are also required, along with board certification from California.
The Clinic Medical Director will oversee improvement projects for assigned clinics, handling operational, financial, and business development tasks, and enhancing customer service by developing and implementing effective processes and systems. They will lead clinic operations to meet patient care, administrative, and operational needs, ensuring quality care through chart and utilization reviews. The Medical Director will also provide comprehensive medical care to participants, including evaluations, diagnoses, and management of medical conditions, conducting physical exams, interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and managing medication reconciliation, as well as coordinating after-hours telephone support.
