  • Knowledge of local laws, regulations, global policies, and compliance guidelines for data dissemination and interactions with external health care professionals
  • Understanding of market archetypes and their influence on medical interventions
  • Ability to act as a patient advocate and medical expert

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert medical support to local business aspects, including marketed product support, patient journey development, strategic planning for compounds, pricing, reimbursement, and access (PRA), and scientific data dissemination
  • Understand and anticipate scientific information needs of local customers (payers, patients, health care providers)
  • Actively address customer questions timely by leading data analyses and new clinical or health outcomes research efforts
  • Contribute to medical strategies supporting brand commercialization by collaborating with global Medical Affairs, brand teams, Global Patient Outcomes/Real World Evidence, global PRA, clinical management, and cross-functional teams during local business plan development
  • Provide scientific and medical expertise to PRA organization activities, including clinical input for payer partnership programs and defending product value
  • Support business-to-business and business-to-government activities as medical expert
  • Contribute to strategic planning for currently marketed brands
  • Offer scientific input for development, review, and approval of promotional materials for brand team
  • Support training of regional managers and other medical representatives
  • Take leadership role in defining Patient Journey and Moments of Truth based on medical knowledge
  • Understand and apply customer insights to all customer-related activities
  • Address unsolicited scientific information needs of external health care professionals per guidelines
  • Support planning of symposia, advisory board meetings, and facilitation of other meetings with health care professionals
  • Support medical information associates in preparation and review of medical letters and other medical information materials
  • Support training of local medical personnel
  • Prepare or review scientific information in response to customer questions or media requests
  • Support data analysis and development of slide sets (reviewing/approving) and publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts)
  • Establish and maintain collaborations with external scientific experts, thought leaders, and medical community at local, national, regional, and international levels
  • Develop and maintain collaborations with relevant professional societies
