Requirements

  • B.Sc. or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of overall experience in mechanical system engineering
  • 4+ years of demonstrated management experience with teams of 8+ engineers
  • Ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms
  • Ability to multitask many assignments and coordinate testing for numerous programs
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently given minimal supervision/direction

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Networking organization Mechanical validation activities
  • Build custom Hardware Mechanical validation test plans for devices and component level qualifications
  • Manage multiple Mechanical validation activities
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team managers
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations
  • Support other managerial tasks of team as needed
  • Lead the team in applying Mechanical validation/test principles to build test plans and develop tools for validation
  • Collaborate and integrate with all HW team: Board Design, Mechanics, Thermal, PCB Layout, Production, Software/Firmware, and more
  • Support validation and approval of alternate/second source components for the devices
  • Build validation plan and then perform validation to qualify it
  • Define new processes to improve coverage and overall product quality
