Requirements

B.Sc. or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of overall experience in mechanical system engineering
4+ years of demonstrated management experience with teams of 8+ engineers
Ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms
Ability to multitask many assignments and coordinate testing for numerous programs
Self-starter with the ability to work independently given minimal supervision/direction

Responsibilities

Lead the Networking organization Mechanical validation activities
Build custom Hardware Mechanical validation test plans for devices and component level qualifications
Manage multiple Mechanical validation activities
Coach, develop, and mentor team managers
Conduct employee performance evaluations
Support other managerial tasks of team as needed
Lead the team in applying Mechanical validation/test principles to build test plans and develop tools for validation
Collaborate and integrate with all HW team: Board Design, Mechanics, Thermal, PCB Layout, Production, Software/Firmware, and more
Support validation and approval of alternate/second source components for the devices
Build validation plan and then perform validation to qualify it
Define new processes to improve coverage and overall product quality
