Requirements

Successful degree in Mechanical Engineering / Precision Engineering or comparable field with focus on design
Initial professional experience in design, component layout, and calculations
Knowledge and experience in general mechanical engineering, design, and manufacturing technology
Desirable: Experience in developing medical products and related regulatory requirements
Knowledge and experience in Target Costing and design-accompanying calculation
Knowledge of various manufacturing technologies and applications of respective machining processes
Knowledge and experience in selecting suitable materials
Knowledge in injection molding suitable part design
Knowledge in 3D-CAD applications such as Creo Parametric
Very good PC skills (primarily MS-Office)
Confident handling of complex bill of materials structures within a PDM system
Fluent German skills as well as very good English skills (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

Independent, systematic concept development in design
Determination of technical requirements (mechanics) based on product requirements and user needs
Collaboration in creating requirements documents
Creation of design drafts for individual parts and assemblies considering requirements, performing technical calculations and simulations (CAE), such as Moldflow analyses and tolerance considerations
Detailing the design, creating CAD models and technical drawings, as well as describing the design output in design documents
Collaboration on "Corrective and preventive actions" regarding failure root cause analysis, development of solutions, and participation in change assessments
Initiation and collaboration in procuring verification samples in cooperation with procurement
Evaluation of product-related characteristics in the initial sample process
Support in verification planning
