Requirements

University degree (or equivalent) in mechanical or mechatronic engineering
3+ years of successful experience in mechanical design engineering within multidisciplinary environments, ideally in life sciences, medical fields, or regulated industries
Proven track record in developing and sustaining complex, regulated products from proof of concept through detailed design and dimensioning under a quality management system
Well-founded understanding of mechanical engineering disciplines, including proficiency in 3D CAD design software and generating 2D drawings optimized for Design For Excellence (Solidworks preferred)
Knowledge and practical experience of relevant regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP), specifically for US and European markets
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate (oral, written) in French and English across global, cross-cultural, cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Customer-oriented mindset, autonomous at work, good organizational skills, creative, and comfortable with change
Plus: Previous experience in manufacturing processes development associated with a medical device or biological application

Responsibilities

Contribute to all phases of product development and maintenance of the Cell Therapy platform through change control, including design, documentation, prototyping, testing, supplier collaboration, and industrialization
Collaborate with project teams to define and update product specifications and requirements, translating them into robust mechanical designs through component and assembly geometry, material selection, and performance standards
Perform advanced engineering analyses, including complex calculations, dimensioning, tolerancing, and dimensional analysis, to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability
Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, bills of materials, and engineering specifications, while managing engineering change requests throughout the product lifecycle
Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies
Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and other applicable quality management system requirements
Design and manage CAD models and engineering drawings, applying appropriate dimensioning and tolerancing practices to ensure functionality, manufacturability, assembly fit, component and product performance, and compliance with design specifications
Work in close collaboration with R&D team members, Suppliers, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management
