Requirements

  • Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo Parametric is a plus)
  • Basics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting and forming, painting and assembly
  • Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a project and pull information from others
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic systems (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical skills (preferred)
  • Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Creo
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, prototyping, and development of new products and improvements to existing products
  • Conduct required tests, collect data, and analyze results for new or existing products
  • Design tests or test fixtures as needed
  • Recognize and help with problem solving efforts in the Product Development Lab
  • Work with operations engineers to reduce costs and help improve quality of product
