Requirements

  • Engineering HNC or HND (Engineering degree desirable)
  • Good 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor advantageous)
  • Experience designing generators/motors/SC and creating customer drawings and drawings for manufacture in AutoCAD, and populating BOMs
  • Proficiency in MS Office Packages
  • Experience with technical international standards
  • Experience designing for Hazardous Areas (advantageous)
  • Fluent in English
  • Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship required)

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engineering drawings to operations and customers
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for your area of design
  • Designing all components of generators, synchronous condensers, and motors
  • Supporting operations with the production of designed components
  • Guiding design draughtsmen in the department and signing off engineering drawings as checked work
  • Working to KPIs and objectives set by the Design Office Lead (DO Lead)
  • Designing for an ambiguous work environment
