Requirements

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Good knife skills

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to use commercial equipment including a meat slicer, scales, packaging machinery and a cash register

Responsibilities

  • Assists guests in choosing products and portion sizes, sharing knowledge about the ingredients and preparation of products at the counter
  • Reports to the Market Manager
  • Assists guests with product selection and slices, weighs, labels and packages products as requested
  • Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner as per pricing menu
  • Merchandises displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
  • Maintains proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing, serving and cleaning
  • Keeps display equipment and counters clean and free of debris
  • Assists with cashier duties at the counter as needed
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
