Ability to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinds
Knowledge of company cutting, packaging, and sanitation standards
Capability to assist in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, pre-packed deli, rotisserie chicken area, and full service deli
Skills in meat selection and preparing special meat arrangements for members
Commitment to maintaining all sanitation and safety standards in the meat department
Ability to carry out job functions, support club policies, procedures, and compliance
Understanding of production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
At least 18 years old for 401(k) eligibility (implied general requirement)
Responsibilities
Engage and provide assistance to members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood
Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by members
Cut, grind, and/or process fresh meats to company cutting standards
Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards
Ensure the meat case showcases all currently available products and maintain appropriate inventory levels
Fully stock meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases; rotate products according to expiration dates
Follow guidelines for disposing of damaged and/or expired products
Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including meat cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases
Inspect and store meat upon delivery
Act with honesty, integrity, lead with the member in mind, ensure safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work as a team, maintain friendly attitude, deliver GOLD member standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate), and uphold club standards (fast, friendly, full, fresh, clean; grand opening look daily)
