Responsibilities

Utilize CAD software to create detailed design models, drawings, and specifications for mechanical components and systems used in hardware and product engineering projects
Conduct DFMEA to identify and mitigate potential failure modes and risks associated with mechanical designs, ensuring reliability and safety
Apply prototyping techniques and methodologies to develop physical prototypes of mechanical components and systems for design validation and testing
Integrate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations into mechanical designs to ensure compliance with EMC standards and regulations
Perform structural analysis and simulations to evaluate mechanical integrity and performance of components and systems
Implement thermal management strategies in mechanical designs to address heat dissipation, thermal regulation, and protection for electronic components and systems
Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to optimize heat transfer and thermal performance for reliability and longevity
Apply GD&T principles to define geometric specifications and tolerances for mechanical components and assemblies
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, communicating design requirements effectively to manufacturing and quality assurance teams
